Your books and your use of Lorely
Lorely is an iOS-first reader for EPUBs you lawfully access. Importing and plain reading are free and work locally, including offline. Lorely does not sell books, supply a book marketplace, or grant rights to the books you import. The original EPUB stays separate from generated enhancements.
Only import content you are authorized to use, and only request cloud processing where you have the necessary rights. Before your first cloud enhancement, Lorely asks you to acknowledge lawful access. This is separate from local reading and is not repeated for every book. Do not bypass safeguards, upload unlawful content, or use Lorely to redistribute copyrighted books or create public substitutes for them.
Private AI features
Cloud enhancement is optional. It can generate character context, chapter notes and images, explanations, and reader-requested images for your private book. Outputs can be inaccurate, biased, inappropriate, or reveal spoilers despite safeguards. They are reading aids, not authoritative accounts or replacements for the source book. Reader and Dreamer subscriptions
Reader and Dreamer provide recurring book-enhancement and moment allowances. Available monthly or yearly billing options, included quantities, the full localized price, and the renewal period are shown before purchase. A yearly billing option does not mean unlimited usage. Book enhancement has a bounded visual allowance; it does not promise an image for every chapter.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through your Apple Account. Review the renewal date in Apple’s subscription settings and cancel before renewal to avoid the next charge. Deleting Lorely or its cloud data does not cancel an Apple subscription. See Apple’s cancellation instructions.
Included allowances apply to the current allowance period and do not accumulate indefinitely. Settings shows the next reset date; an allowance reset and an Apple billing renewal are different events. When subscription access expires, new subscription-gated generation becomes unavailable. Plain reading remains available, and previously saved enhancements remain associated with your book, subject to deletion and beta availability.
One-book enhancement unlock
A book unlock is a one-time purchase for enhancement of one selected imported book. It is not the purchase of an EPUB, a subscription, or a supply of extra Imagine, Explain, or Reimagine moments. Long books may require a separate, explicit choice about additional allowance before processing.
The unlock is associated with your Lorely identity and that imported book. Deleting a book removes its cloud content and generated enhancements; reimporting can create a new book record. Do not assume that deleting, reinstalling, or reimporting automatically transfers or restores a book unlock. Contact support before doing so if you need purchase recovery.
Additional moments
An extra-moments pack is a one-time consumable purchase for the number of shared Imagine, Explain, and Reimagine moments shown at checkout. It adds no book-enhancement allowance and does not grant a subscription. Current generation eligibility requires an active supported subscription; a pack alone does not reactivate generation after subscription expiry.
A successful new generation uses a moment. Failed, canceled, skipped, safety-rejected, and cached requests should not consume a paid moment; a temporarily reserved moment may take time to become available again. Contact support if your balance does not recover.
Purchased moments are separate from recurring included allowances. Purchased credits must not expire under Apple’s in-app purchase rules. Carryover, use after subscription expiry, and recovery after deletion or identity loss still require verification before real-money pack sales. This provisional notice does not establish a forfeiture or expiry policy.
Prices, purchase recovery, and refunds
Apple handles App Store billing; RevenueCat helps Lorely synchronize purchase access. Use the full localized amount and billing terms displayed by Apple when confirming a purchase. Prices in previews or development screens are not a charge quotation.
Use Restore Purchases in Lorely for supported App Store purchases, using the Apple Account that made the purchase. Consumable packs and book-specific access may need additional support recovery; restoration is not a backup of deleted books or generated content. Do not send passwords, full receipts, or payment details by email.
For a real App Store charge, follow Apple’s refund request process. Eligibility depends on the purchase and applicable rules. Contact Lorely for missing access or allowance errors. Nothing in these provisional terms excludes mandatory consumer rights.
TestFlight and service availability
In-app purchases made in TestFlight are test transactions and do not charge you. Test purchases do not carry over to the App Store version. A later App Store purchase uses real billing and requires a separate purchase confirmation. See Apple’s TestFlight information.
Beta features, limits, availability, and generated data may change or become unavailable. Keep your own copy of your EPUBs. Lorely may restrict abusive use or cloud processing that violates these policies. You can stop using Lorely and use the deletion controls described in the Privacy Policy.
Final review before paid launch
These are provisional beta terms, not finalized paid-service terms. The service operator’s legal name and address, applicable jurisdiction, age requirements, liability provisions, final purchase recovery rules, and provider arrangements remain under legal review. Final terms and verified purchase disclosures must be available before real-money sales. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
