Your choice
Optional app analytics is off until you choose. On first use, Lorely asks whether you want to share privacy-safe app analytics. Accept and decline are both available, and either choice lets you continue using the app.
If you opt in, PostHog receives only future consented product events. No earlier event history is uploaded after you opt in.
What app analytics includes
Consented events are limited to low-cardinality product and operational metadata, such as bounded event names, status codes, counters, timings, feature outcomes, and environment or build metadata. This can help Lorely understand whether import succeeds, which features are discovered, and where errors occur.
What app analytics never includes
Product analytics never includes book text, selected passages, book or chapter titles, author names, filenames, annotations, prompts, completions, generated content, emails, tokens, secrets, or other freeform reader content.
Pseudonymous app identity
Approved analytics events may include pseudonymous anonymous-user and installation identifiers issued for the app. They are not the contents of your books and are not joined to website waitlist or beta email records by this choice.
Essential crash and security telemetry
Minimal essential crash and security telemetry is separate from optional product analytics and remains enabled so Lorely can protect and stabilize the app. Sentry is the separately bounded provider for this essential telemetry, with content and personal-data sanitization requirements.
Separate permissions and feedback
AI-quality feedback is separate and requires its own explicit action or permission. Enabling app analytics does not enable marketing attribution, notification permission, Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission, cross-app tracking, or any email or waitlist identity join.
Changing your choice
You can enable or disable app analytics at any time in Lorely's Settings. Turning it off stops future optional app-analytics events from being sent. Declining does not cause ordinary repeat prompts; Lorely may ask again only if a future policy version materially changes what app analytics means or collects.
Export, deletion, and contact
Lorely Settings provides controls for cloud-data export and deletion. For questions or requests about analytics, privacy, or deletion, contact support@getlorely.com.
